PROVING ECONOMIC COMMITMENT

While working through a redesign of Toyota’s corporate site, I identified an opportunity to build more than just a single serving website.

On a yearly basis Toyota would report on how their organization has directly invested in the American economy. However, they did a poor job of telling people about it. After diving deep into the details we created a more efficient and impactful way to report their yearly numbers.

RESULTS FROM MY EFFORTS

A simple project turned into a great oppotunity.

COST SAVINGS

Toyota had been spending over $250K a year to update multiple assets to tell the same story, at the end of the project they had a tool that has 3 touchpoint and is updated internally at no cost.

INTERNAL EFFICIENCY

Toyota has manufacturing, financial and sales operations in every state in the US, collecting all this data was a nightmare before we created the tool in the form of a spreadsheet to capture data consistently year over year.

BRAND VOICE

The previous presentation of the information was specific to data, we humanized this data by telling the real story behind it. Which is Toyota’s American Journey dedicated to improving the US economy since the late 50’s.

SURPRISING INSIGHT

When I talk about process to people their eyes typically glaze over, but through the diligence of this process an opportunity emerged that not only energized my team to produce better work but made for a very happy client.

DATA UNIFICATION

With 100’s of data sources we created an entire CMS to run all Operation Map experiences consisting of 9 tables requiring 540 rows of data.

CONTENT WORKSHOPS

Over two days I led full day workshops to understand, identify missing content and create taxonomies to structure information in a way that makes sense for client and user needs.

SHOWROOM KIOSKS

Having access to all the data and content allowed us to create a low cost kiosk that can be found at manufactures and care dealers across the country.

INFORMATION BROCHURE

Dealerships love having the yearly brochure at their disposal but it was a heavy investment for Toyota so we created a digital version that’s dynamically produce when the content is updated.
