PREPARING FOR THE CONSUMER JOURNEY

Launching into the digital payments space LG was in need of some insights for how to best deliver their pyament informaiton to users within an already crowded website.

I was able to help bring insights for content and page patterns to educate existing and potential LG Pay users allowing LG to create an enaging space within the lg.com ecosystem.

PAGE HIERARCHIES

At the beginning of the project the team had worked on developing content but was unsure if it was enough or how to present it to the user. I was able to help them understand the best way to present this based on common user journeys.

CONTENT INSIGHTS

By engaging with competitive sites and running them through a checklist of items in content, heuristics, and brand I helped bring forward new ideas for page offerings to help the brand stand out.

DESIGN COLLABORATION

Having a background in design sets me up to develop website plans and wireframes that are easy for design teams to implement. While I love to design I’m just as comfortable taking the lead on the more strategic and technical aspects of a project.

TECH LIMITATIONS

While the development team would allow for most proposals for the experience, the page still needs to live wihtin a global template. I worked with the team to ensure the experience leveraged common site patterns but still had the opportunity to allow for creative touches.

COMPETITIVE AUDIT

Conducted a competitive deep dive through my personal process for identifying opportunities, gaps, and heuristics.

BRAND INSIGHTS

When performing a competitive audit I look at multiple aspects of an experience in order to gain the most insights possible. Every checklist is custom created for each project to ensure the right aspects are reviewed. Typically this results in over 70 items audited per experience.

USER JOURNEYS

While not a requirement for this project, I always like to look to the intended user journeys that need to be solved for in the experience being created. This helps to bridge communication across teams, expedite project timelines and set up an experience for post-launch analysis.

WIREFRAMES

When creating experience wireframes I typically generate low fidelity prototypes with InVision and a separate document for annoations. For this project I additionally included the content recommendations within the annotations and showed the team how to build the experience to plan for content growth.
